Macroom Business Association has now introduced its very own Macroom Shopping Voucher. This is all part of our shop local movement.
We realise that a large number of consumers are looking to support local and more significantly the people that make our communities what they are. Evidence is that people want to purchase closer to home so this new voucher scheme will offer the opportunity to do this throughout the year.
The Macroom Shopping voucher is the ideal gift for Wedding, Confirmation, Communion and in particular Christmas, or as a gesture for any event or occasion.
Businesses and employers that reward their staff by way of incentives will also find the Macroom Shopping Voucher a very suitable option. Under the Revenue Commissioners’ “Small Benefit Exemption” scheme, employers and employees can benefit from a reward of up to €1000 in value completely tax free each year. This is exempt from Income Tax, Universal Social Charge and employee & employer’s PRSI. Macroom Shopping Voucher is an ideal way of using the Small Benefit Exemption to reward employees Tax free, even if the employee is receiving other Taxable benefits, whilst helping support the local economy.
